Who I’ve worked with

Since 1997 I’ve worked closely with the likes of Sky Sports, Opta, Liverpool FC, the Premier League, the Football League and many more prestigious brands. Here’s a more detailed look at some of the work I’ve been involved in:

We Want Plates

We Want Plates logo

We Want Plates is a viral campaign I created in 2015, which has over half a million followers on social media and been published in book form. A tongue-in-cheek vehicle, it “crusades against serving food on bits of wood and roof slates, chips in mugs and drinks in jam jars.” Promotion has included the following:

  • Running the Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts
  • Building and running the official website
  • Writing the We Want Plates book, published by Prestel
  • Editorial features in every UK national newspaper
  • Online features for the likes of Buzzfeed and Mashable
  • TV and radio including The One Show and Good Morning Britain

JP Orkney

JP Orkney are a new business located in the Orkney Islands, providing Food & Drink Tours and Camper Van Hire. The owners required a digital estate building from the ground up. After discussing their needs in depth I did the following:

  • Produced the JP Orkney company logo, colour palette and website design
  • Built their new website using Weebly: jporkney.co.uk
  • Set up the business’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts
  • Researched and integrated a new booking system vital to their business
  • Wrote copy, subbed existing copy and ensured SEO best practice
  • Provided training for the booking system and social media

Knight Graphics

Knight Graphics are one of the most respected large-scale printers in West Yorkshire. They were in need of a responsive website, largely based around one scrolling front page, with client galleries on separate pages. I did the following:

  • Assessed the digital needs of the business with founder Rob Knight
  • Built a brand new website using WordPress: knight-graphics.co.uk
  • Provided copy, subbed existing copy and ensured SEO best practice
  • Provided training in WordPress and construction of galleries

Painting Malta

Painting Malta

Since 2012 I’ve run Painting Malta, one of the most-visited websites connected with the island. Showcasing the talents of Maltese artist John Caruana, I handle every aspect of John’s digital estate:

  • Building a responsive website and gallery in WordPress
  • Designing all branding including the logo
  • Generating sales and new commissions
  • Maintaining the Twitter account with new work and sales
  • Handling all email enquiries
  • Promoting forthcoming exhibitions on the island


For 12 years as part of the Orange group I worked in partnership with the likes of Sky Sports, Opta and a host of Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal to provide an unrivalled sports service for Orange users on web and mobile. My job was to provide Orange’s 28 million customers with the following:

  • Live scores and match details across a host of sports
  • Live in-game Premier League goals, a first for a UK mobile provider
  • Live minute-by-minute football, cricket, F1 and rugby commentaries
  • Official downloads for Premier League and Football League clubs
  • Exclusive competitions and money-can’t-buy experiences
  • Microsites for the Olympics, World Cup and Rugby World Cup
  • Topical news, sport and entertainment picture galleries

World Wrestling Entertainment

For six years as part of the Orange group I single-handedly ran the official WWE channel on the Orange network, WWE’s first partnership with a UK mobile provider. Building an audience of 250,000 wrestling fans from scratch, the partnership entailed the following:

  • Providing daily editorial content and updating the web and mobile platforms
  • Running the official WWE downloads channel, selling over 200,000 products
  • Signing up over 10,000 customers to the official WWE TV channel
  • Devising and running exclusive WWE competitions and meet-and-greets
  • Live chat room moderation

Orange Wednesdays

For three years as part of the Orange group I ran the official Orange Wednesdays microsite, a groundbreaking partnership with cinemas offering two-for-one cinema tickets via your mobile. Over 23 million tickets were given away. To support the commercial activities I:

  • Provided daily film stories and updated the web and mobile platforms
  • Promoted services and editorial content via social media
  • Wrote film reviews and promoted exclusive video previews
  • Produced a weekly box-office Top 10 including trailers
  • Devised and ran exclusive Orange Wednesdays competitions
  • Supported the Orange BAFTAs with bespoke editorial content
